I was asked to write about this place by some of my male-friends who are really fond of cars, engines and stuff like that, so here it comes. And even more - I took a lot of photos there, 'cause I've discovered that cars look amazing on pictures (can you imagine how awesome they look in real?).
We went to BMW Welt and BMW museum last Sunday. First one is a multi-functional customer experience and exhibition facility of the BMW AG, located in Munich, Germany. It is designed to present the current products of BMW, be a distribution center for BMW cars, and offer an event forum and a conference center. The museum shows BMW's technical development throughout the company's history. It contains engines and turbines, aircraft, motorcycles, and vehicles in a plethora of possible variations. In addition to actual models they present futuristic-looking, even conceptual studies from the past 20 years.
View from the Olympia Tower
At BMW Welt, completely free of charge
You can buy any car you see here (if you have $50 000+ ), you can do a test drive at this exact center as well, on the second floor
The BMW Museum is located near the Olympiapark in Munich and was established in 1972 shortly before the Summer Olympics opened. It deals with the history of the automobile manufacturer BMW.
The first motorbike they made in 1923
The first car was made in 1928
Today BMW vehicles are used by different government establishments in 150 countries around the world!
The company started with a first product being an aircraft engine in 1916, since then they made a huge contribution to engine's development and technology itself.
This one is for airplane
Yeah, this guy was built in 1926!
They have here all the models of cars and motorcycles they made ever! Hundreds of them...
This is how the designers work when creating a new car
This one is my favorite one
Where you can see BMW's motorcycles
Yeah, there too :)
We were lucky to visit the Rolls-Royce Motor Cars exhibition, that took place at the museum. I was impressed. A lot.
Did you know that each and every "spirit of ecstasy" figure on the hoods of Rolls-Royce is made manually even today? It is in the form of a woman leaning forwards with her arms outstretched behind and above her.
This one was HUGE!
This one looked like Quinn Elizabeth II is going to get out of it any second now.
This is how they prepare different parts of interior design
If you are going to visit Munich, I strongly recommend to go to BMW museum (the ticket costs 9 EUR) - it's modern, it's interesting and it's simply beautiful! And I wish you all to buy a BMW. Eventually :)
