There’s nothing quite as welcoming in a winter-weary backyard as a bright sea of tulips ruffling in a spring breeze. Perhaps the most beloved bulbs of all time, tulips come in endless combinations of color, shape and size. I personally love them, tulips symbolize spring, spring signifies beginning of life, and a beautiful mother-to-be is like nature's embodiment itself... I was determined to use some tulips for our maternity photo shoot with Alexandra, to give our scenes some sense of warmth and sun, as it should be in spring, you know, and apparently she felt the same way, 'cause we ended up having not one, but two beautiful tulip bouquets, and naturally we used them both extensively :) I came to conclusion that there's no better time for a maternity photo shoot than in spring, ideally in some flourishing field, surrounded by fresh grass and tiny flowers, in the middle of a juicy, bright and colorful setting, preferably with a bouquet of delicate tulips.
