UPD: I've decided to extend shooting sessions up to 1:30 hours due to gain more time to wander around the park and capture different locations. It won't affect the cost of the session mentioned below.

February has been an exciting, invigorating, inspiring month. One thing I can say is to grow as a photographer it is important to be out of your comfort zone. It’s always easier to work on a familiar surface in familiar light with familiar objects, but to be thrown into a new situation whether it be foreign locations or simply a different set up for styling, is great practice. I always feel I come away a little more confident about tackling the unknown and better at looking for the spaces that will fit my aesthetic.

And now I'd like to announce another event I'm going to organize, and truth to be told, this is something I'm super excited about and enthusiastically looking forward to. Flower Photo Shoot at Mainau park was on my mind for years now, not only because I'm crazy in love with that place, especially in the middle of spring, but also because I've been doing this shoot every year since I've heard about the park, so my loved ones and closest friends know very well about the hidden potential and a marvelous beauty of this well-known nature park. This year I've decided to "open" it to all of my friends and readers, and offer you a small photo shoot while you're enjoying the nature at its finest.

Some of the photographs that we treasure most are those in which our children aren't posed and smiling at the camera, but rather simply having fun and enjoying childhood. Mainau park at lake Constance in Germany is a perfect background for family photography, if you ask me. The tulips really come to life in the sunshine, lifting the color and breathing energy into the scene. And don't forget about the orchids, daffodils, cherry blossoms and so many more... Mainau also features one of the best playgrounds one can find in an hour drive from Zurich, as well as a real castle, butterfly house and a pet zoo - perfect  family destination for a leisure sunny day. Now, I know that for outdoor photo shoots it really is well worth clearing the diary on a few possible dates, for it's all weather dependable. I am always willing to change plans at short notice when possible, as getting the best shots possible is the most important thing to me! So let's count on the weekend April 21-22nd for now, and if the weather goes really bad we'll figure out what to do quickly.

April and May – I’m excited about these months, filled with spring blossom, bluebells, lilacs, tulips, poppies… and maybe new challenges and adventures await. I know I will have a little more faith in myself now as a photographer, and a Mom, that I can tackle new opportunities and work (and live) out of my comfort zone a little. What can I say, spring – you are epic. A time of growth indeed.
